President Search Updates (All)
Zimfest 2025 Search Updates
- WWU: all concert venues have a 10 PM curfew. The Board recommends canceling the site visit, since the 10 PM curfew is a dealbreaker for us.
- Ellensburg (CWU): Claire and Alex to visit soon and report back.
- Opened conversation with Whitman College in Walla Walla.
- We likely wouldn’t get our most preferred dates, but the potential concert sites are promising. Claire will continue communication.
- Also discussed WSU (Pullman) and SOU (Ashland; one person in the Zim music community lives there but is no longer active).
- Claire will put the current site inquiry letter in Drive.
Zimfest 2024 Virtual Festival Updates
There has not been enough energy and impetus from potential volunteers, so there will be no virtual festival in 2024.
Liability Insurance
Claire will scan and send the renewal notice to Janis. We will switch from mail to electronic communication.
Bylaws Updates
A subset of Board members will be looking for potential updates to Zimfest bylaws.
