Financial Report (Chris)
Association is in the red about $3300, with donations being down. Festival is $1600 in the red. Our accounts balanced to the penny this year.
Introduction to Someone in Finance (All)
A new-to-us Zimbabwean located in the US met with us and shared why he is interested in volunteering for Zimfest Association. He has a background in finance and is interested in helping with most anything. Wanting to be a part of a community. He thinks it seems like a family oriented community.
Data that we are addressing should be more specific and targeted. Don’t include teacher photos and bio in this. Decide how long to keep tax ID info on teachers. Saving for 3 years, but for not more than 5 years, should be good. Mandy will update a few of the changes and then send it back out to the tech committee to see if they have any further changes. Moving towards implementation soon. Jake, Alex, Mandy and Larry will discuss the implementation process. January 1st deadline.
