Getting to Zimfest

Zimfest 2023 will take place on the campus of Oregon State University in Corvallis. Corvallis is in northwestern Oregon, 90 minutes south of Portland and 45 minutes north of Eugene; about 10 minutes from Interstate 5.

Driving Directions to Zimfest at OSU

From Interstate 5 (In Either Direction)

  • Take exit 228 for OR-34/Corvallis-Lebanon, and turn west toward Corvallis
  • Continue west along OR-34 for 10.0 miles, crossing a bridge across the Willamette River as you enter Corvallis
  • Turn left at NW 4th Street, then continue for 0.4 miles
  • Turn right at SW Jefferson Avenue, then continue 0.5 miles toward campus
  • Park in a Zone B parking lot (see the Zimfest Map and read about parking passes)

Arriving By Air

Flights are available to Portland International Airport (PDX) and Eugene Airport (EUG). Generally, flights are less expensive and more frequent at Portland. These airlines serve Eugene: Alaska, Allegiant, American, Avelo, Delta, Southwest and United.

Getting From the Eugene Airport

There are few ground transport options from the Eugene Airport, and no public transit bus service. You can take Uber, Lyft, a taxi service, or Sunshine Limo. Some hotel shuttles are available (see Eugene Airport Ground Transportation).

Shuttles from the Portland Airport to Zimfest

Groome Transportation operates scheduled shuttle van service from PDX. There are 16 trips daily (in each direction) to Corvallis. $49 one-way between PDX and Hilton Garden Hotel Corvallis on the OSU campus (or Courtyard Marriott). Phone: 877-693-3785.

Several companies operate Portland Airport shuttles on-demand (with no fixed schedule or destination) that will take you directly to Oregon State University. Most of these services have cars and/or mini-vans, and charge $120 to $220 per one-way trip, plus $5 to $20 per passenger, plus tip. Contact them for further details and to reserve your shuttle. (If you book a shuttle and have space for more passengers, you may want to post on the Zimfest Ride Board to lower the cost per person.)

Other Portland Airport Transportation Options

Arriving By Train

Amtrak trains stop in Albany, Oregon, just 12 miles from Zimfest. Amtrak provides connecting bus service between Albany station (ALY) and OSU McNary Hall (CVO). The Coast Starlight runs once daily in each direction between Seattle and Los Angeles. Amtrak Cascades operates four trains daily in each direction between Seattle and Eugene, including some trips from Vancouver, B.C. (plus some buses from Vancouver and Portland). Corvallis Transit

Corvallis Transit System (CTS) is a free! (fareless!) public transit service. Three bus routes stop on Jefferson Way in front of McNary Hall, and five bus routes stop along Monroe Avenue just north of McNary Field.

Downtown Corvallis Transit Center at 5th Street and Monroe Ave is a 10-minute walk from Zimfest.

The Beaver Bus is OSU’s free campus shuttle system, available to everyone. During the summer, the Central Route operates Mon-Fri, 7 AM–7 PM, about every 14 minutes, in a counter-clockwise loop.
