Getting to Zimfest

The 2022 Zimbabwean Music Festival will take place in the town of Mount Vernon, Washington, at the Skagit County Fairgrounds, with evening concerts at the Lincoln Theatre. Mount Vernon is 60 miles north of Seattle, on Interstate 5.

Driving Directions to Zimfest at Skagit County Fairgrounds

From the south

  • Take Interstate 5 north to Mount Vernon
  • Take Exit 225 Anderson Rd
  • Keep right at the fork and merge onto Anderson Rd
  • At the traffic circle, take the 3rd exit onto Cedardale Rd
  • Continue north on Cedardale Rd for 0.6 miles
  • Turn left onto E Blackburn Rd
  • Go about 6 blocks, then turn right at Harrison St
  • Go one block to the entrance to the Fairgrounds

From the north

  • Take Interstate 5 south to Mount Vernon
  • Take Exit 226 WA-536/Kincaid St
  • Curve right onto Kincaid St
  • Go a few blocks, then turn left onto S 2nd St
  • Go south on 2nd St for 0.7 miles
  • Turn right onto Taylor St
  • Go two blocks to the entrance to the Fairgrounds

Arriving by Plane, Train or Bus

Three airports serve the area:

Skagit Transportation Center, located one mile north of the Fairgrounds, is home to the Mount Vernon Amtrak Station and Skagit Station, a transit hub with Greyhound and Skagit Transit bus service.

Airport Shuttles

Belair Airporter Shuttle operates 7 daily trips each way between Burlington and Sea-Tac, Paine Field, and Bellingham airports. The Burlington stop is located 4.5 miles north of the Fairgrounds. See route map, schedule, fares.
