Zimfest 2000 CD

This collection of songs from the Zimbabwean Music Festival represents a variety of Zimbabwean musical styles, from traditional pieces to modern arrangements of popular songs. It includes mbira, marimba, chipendani, nyunga nyunga, voice, hosho and electric instruments. Many thanks to the Zimbabwean and North American musicians who collaborated in performing these songs. Ngairire ngoma!

Recorded live at the Zimbabwean Music Festival in Eugene, Oregon, August 2000. The artists and producers have donated their efforts on this project. All profits from the sale of this CD will go to AIDS relief in Zimbabwe.
